Trevor Finlay

Trevor is a non-executive director of Secured Lending Limited. Trevor has over 20 years of experience in the business finance sector. Trevor is the founder and managing director of Vision Asset Finance as a specialist arranger of asset finance to businesses and organisations across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In the energy sector, Trevor has arranged and managed funding for biomass and solar projects since 2012, including over £10m for rooftop solar in Northern Ireland. 

Michael Hughes

Michael Hughes is a director of Secured Lending. Michael is also a director of Armstrong Capital Management which he joined in 2018. Prior to this Michael was a Partner at Downing LLP where he focused on investments in the energy, leisure and lending sectors. Michael was previously a divisional director at Close Brothers with a focus on funds investing in pan-European real estate.

Gerry Swarbrick

Gerry is a non-executive director of Secured Lending Limited. Gerry has 40 years experience in the UK energy sector, including key roles at British Gas and SWEB. Gerry is the owner and managing director of energy consultancy, Ark Energy Limited, which he established in 2002. Ark Energy is a specialist renewable energy consultancy providing specialist advice to businesses and investors in the wind, solar, waste to energy sectors. Gerry was a founding member of the Renewable Energy Association.

Mark Taylor

Mark is a Partner of Beringea LLP. He also heads up Beringea Growth Finance, which provides debt-based finance to fast growing companies. Mark has extensive experience working within the finance sector of which the last 20 years have been in Venture and Growth Finance.

Mark was a pioneer of Venture and Growth Finance in Europe having been a founder partner of EVP (now Kreos) in 1998. He went on to found and manage Noble Venture Finance from 2003-10. Prior to joining Beringea in 2013 Mark was instrumental in creating Clydesdale Growth Finance.

Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a degree from the University of Reading.
